Plant Riverside District sits on a landmark historic site. Prior to the Riverside Station, it was home to the city’s original freight port, connecting Savannah’s inland canals and rail yards to the shipping channel and Atlantic Ocean.
Ten years of revitalization has created the most significant expansion of Savannah’s urban core in modern history – over 670,000 square feet of mixed-use space including the historic Power Plant and twelve buildings, 1.5 acres of parks, plazas and public spaces, and 1,100 linear feet of public river walk.
Plant Riverside District is a testament to Richard C. Kessler’s commitment to improving communities and providing enriching experiences for locals and visitors alike.
