The “Me, Myself, & Us” Concert Series and District Live welcome industry icons: Gregg Bissonette and Kenny Lee Lewis for a unique, one-night-only show!

The 70s and 80s: Two decades that defined individuality and cultural expression. Through it all, the songs of those time periods have left an undeniable mark on society and in our every day lives, becoming a part of our routines in the present and undoubtedly… the future. On January 9th, Thomas Claxton’s “Me, Myself, & Us” Concert Series takes a trip back in time, welcoming Special Guests: Gregg Bissonette and Kenny Lee Lewis, two world-renowned performing artists that helped shape the music that we all know and love.

Gregg Bissonette, winner of “Best All-Around Drummer” in Modern Drummer’s 2023 Readers Poll, is one of the most versatile musicians in the business. Since 2008, Gregg has been performing around the world in the All Starr Band with his drumming hero, Ringo Starr. Bissonette has played with David Lee Roth, James Taylor, Santana (on his Grammy-winning album Supernatural), Don Henley, Joe Satriani, Andrea Bocelli, ELO, Maynard Ferguson, Spinal Tap, Steve Lukather, The Reddcoats, and countless others. Gregg has recorded for numerous films (including The Bucket List, Finding Nemo, Best in Show, The Bourne Supremacy, The Devil Wears Prada, The 40-Year-Old Virgin), TV shows (Friends), and the Buddy Rich Memorial Concert and video. He recently recorded video lessons for Kennan Wylie’s Drumset Method books (Hal Leonard) and has three solo CDs: Gregg Bissonette, Submarine, and Warning Will Robinson. He also has an award-winning 2-disc DVD, “Musical Drumming in Different Styles” (Hudson Music). The “Me, Myself & Us” Concert Series is honored to welcome Gregg Bissonette to our stage to share the stories and a taste of some of the legendary songs he left his mark on.

Kenny Lee Lewis has been a regular touring member, producer and writer for The Steve Miller Band since 1982. An accomplished studio guitarist and bassist for over 30 years, a few of Kenny’s other credits include Bonnie Raitt, Eddie Money, Dave Mason, Billy Preston, Peter Frampton, Boz Scaggs, Brian Wilson, and Steve Stills. Kenny’s wide range of vocal stylings range from romantic ballads, blues, hard rock, reggae, and Latin. When not touring or recording, Kenny enjoys taking mature musical excursions when doing album projects, Movie and Television composing, or performing with his friends. The MMU Concert Series is looking forward to bringing Kenny Lee Lewis to the “Hostess City of the South”.
