The “That Great Gretsch Sound!” museum, located in the Atlantic Building at Plant Riverside District in downtown Savannah, is a free public exhibit resulting from a partnership between the Fred and Dinah Gretsch School of Music at Georgia Southern University and the Kessler Collection. This interactive museum displays over 100 guitars and historic drums, highlighting more than 135 years of Gretsch’s history.
The exhibit features iconic instruments such as the White Falcon, Chet Atkins Country Gentleman, and the 1963 Jet Firebird. It also includes sound domes and a visual timeline of Gretsch’s evolution since the 1920s, celebrating the Gretsch family’s significant impact on the music industry
