Battle Of The Bands at District Live

District Live is thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for emerging bands and performers across the region. The competition will run the course of four Saturdays, with three preliminary stages on July 6th, 13th, and 20th. The final battle will take place on Saturday, August 3rd. Bands of all disciplines are encouraged to apply as we are committed to presenting a wide range of diverse genres. Bands will be granted 30 minutes to perform their set.

Applications will be accepted until midnight on Sunday, June 23, 2024. Late applications and incomplete applications will not be considered. All applicants must pay a fee of $50 per application. If chosen, bands must be available on the Saturday chosen to compete. Days will be assigned by the Entertainment Department based on performance genre and stage plot. A band representative must complete and return the competition contract and technical production information by the deadline indicated in the acceptance letter.

District Live will provide the following:
Sound: A full FOH and monitor sound system. This will include an operator(s), monitor wedges, microphones, and cabling. This will be set up and operated in a “Festival Style.”
Lighting: A general static wash will be available.
Backline: Venue will provide a standard acoustic drum kit, electric piano, synthesizer, grand piano, two guitar amps, and a bass amplifier/cabinet. This equipment is provided as a convenience to the bands and keeps the performance running smoothly and on time. Use of band owned drum kits will not be allowed. Drummers will be given 15 minutes to adjust set up prior to performance. Specific models of equipment to be offered will be finalized and included in the technical specification sent to chosen bands.
