Tequila Dinner Pairing Series

This ongoing series pairs authentic Mexican-inspired cuisine with acclaimed tequilas and international tequila experts, offering an interactive learning experience about spirits, food and culture. Every month, top tequila brand ambassadors will be on hand to lead attendees through guided tastings, offering the opportunity to sample special selections that are rarely seen in Savannah.

The 2024 Tequila Pairing Dinner schedule features tequila brands, which will be strategically paired with creative Mexican cuisine designed to complement the featured spirits.

All Tequila Pairing Dinners start at 6:00 p.m. Limited seating is available. No substitutions or menu modifications.

Herradura Tequila Pairing Dinner - Friday, April 26, 2024 We are excited to welcome Herradura

Born in 1870, Casa Herradura is one of Mexico’s most historic and renowned tequila producers, since the 19th century in Amatitán, Jalisco. Within its walls, they craft and estate-bottle some of the finest tequilas anyone has ever tasted. It is here that they invented the first reposado and extra añejo, forever changing the world of tequila. And it is here, from the small town of Amatitàn in the heart of Mexico’s tequila region, that they continue to set the standard for what’s to come.

For over a hundred years, fresh agave juice was collected from the tahona wheel and poured into large fermentation tanks where it was mixed with water from an underground aqueduct. It is then transferred into beautiful copper distillation tanks that serve as a reminder that Casa Herradura has been committed to creating the world’s very best tequilas for over a century, all while using a 100% natural fermentation process.

Things you may not have known about Herradura: it is the only tequila that produces its barrels. Most of Herradura's flavor, and all of its color, come from the barrel. The new tequila enters the barrel at 88 proof (44% ABV). All bottling is done on-site, and the iconic horseshoe is applied by hand on every bottle.

1st course – Vuelve a la vida (Octopus & Shrimp, House Cocktail Sauce, Serrano, Avocado, Onion)

2nd course – Tlayuda con Tasajo (Crispy Tlayuda, Refried Beans, Chihuahua Cheese, Marínated NY Strip Steak)

3th course – Langosta al Pastor (Lobster Al Pastor, Pineapple Butter, Habanero Pico de Gallo)

4th course – Pan Elote (Mezcal Roasted Pineapple, Vanilla Crema)
