Plant Riverside District’s Electric Moon Skytop Lounge offers monthly interactive mixology classes as part of the Mix It Up at the Moon series. Featuring master mixologists and brand ambassadors from around the globe, Mix It Up at the Moon showcases a rotating series of experts throughout the year. At each event, guests learn how to make two signature cocktails and enjoy signature dishes from Electric Moon’s culinary team.

The history of Diplomático began in Venezuela in 1959, with the establishment of the distillery where all of its rums are produced. At that time Licorerías Unidas S.A (LUSA) owned the distillery and the main shareholder was Seagram’s International, which was one of the biggest wine and spirits companies in the world. Diplomático rums are the greatest expression of passion and craft. Years of experience and tradition are put into creating unique and complex rums with a smooth signature taste. Diplomático Rums are the result of a unique rum-making tradition that includes versatile and characterful rum blends, to be sipped or mixed in elegant cocktails.

Enjoy an evening with a look into the special tastes and features of Diplomático Rum while crafting specialty cocktails with a welcome drink featuring Diplomático in one of its purest forms as well as two distinguished cocktails “The Sour Diplomat” with a splash of Disaronno and an “Adult Chocolate Milk” bringing smooth espresso and cacao flavors to the top.

These delicious cocktails will be accompanied by amazing appetizers Peking Duck Crepes (Duck Confit, Crepes, Scallions, Cucumber, Hoisin) and a Monte Cristo Sandwich (Sour Dough, York Ham, Gruyere, Berry Compote, Chipotle.)
